Yarra Amendment C163


In May 2013, NTAV appeared with an expert witness at the Panel considering Amendment C163 which seeks to introduce a new Heritage Overlay precinct to 233-251 Victoria Street, Abbotsford (with sites graded either individually significant or contributory to the precinct). This is a controversial amendment following a developer applying for a demolition order to make way for two apartment towers. The amendment has been supported by the Planning Panel and the recommendation for a precinct control over the row of shops will likely be sent shortly by the City to the Minister for Planning for gazettal.
